Your Guest OS will not get connected once your host got connected, Unless you have configured your VM's Network settings. Moreover No need to power off other virtual
Bridged networking does not always work with a wireless NIC. Some do, some don't. If it worked before and a change on the host caused it to fail it is probably a problem with the NIC driver in the host OS. You do not need to connect to a wireless adapter to see a printer on the network. Not sure what happened. Yesterday everything worked, today I booted up my VMware and it seems Ubuntu doesn't have an internet connection at all. Tried all the different options (besides NAT that I normally use) like Bridged and Host-Only but it didn't help. Tried restarting my network via terminal etc. Next, browse to your VMware Player folder and open up the vmnetcfg.exe tool. You then want to select VMnet0 as this is the default bridged virtual network interface used by VMware player. Ensure Bridged is checked and in the drop down menu select your wireless network card. Select Network Service – VMware Inc – VMware Bridge Protocol, click OK. You should now see VMware Bridge Protocol. Click Ok again. Go back to your VM and network connectivity should be returned. Bridged networking configures your virtual machine as a unique identity on the network, separate from and unrelated to its host. It makes the virtual machine visible to other computers on the network, and they can communicate directly with the virtual machine. Bridged networking works with both wired and wireless physical host network cards.
